Ms. Talia Anderson
Ms.Talia Anderson, daughter of Lea Anderson, former Policy Council member, attended North Lenoir High School. She is currently attending Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem. Her major is Occupation Therapy.
Support Staff of the Year
Ms. Geraldine Williams, 1st Runner Up
Ms. Geraldine Williams is employed as a Health/Nutrition Program Assistant IV and has been in her position for seven years. Ms. Williams ensures that the children are current with their immunizations, takes children to the dentist and vision screens as well as assists parents in transporting for physical examinations as needed.
Family Advocate of the Year Ms. Serena Rouse, 1st Runner Up
Ms. Serena Rouse has been employed as a Greene Lamp Head Start/Early Head Start Family Services Case Manager for 3 ½ years. As a Family Services Case Manager, Ms. Rouse has worked providing services to her families, conducting parent meetings, parent trainings, and workshops at conferences. Ms. Rouse has worked to engage her parents to participate in parent meetings and activities.
Ms. Shaun Maye, Recognition Support Staff of the Year
Ms. Maye is employed with Greene Lamp Head Start/Early Head Programs as a bus driver for six years and as a substitute teacher for three years. She has been a very important asset to the Transportation Area and to her assigned Spence Center. Ms. Maye goes beyond her duties as a bus driver, always devoting volunteer time to assist in all projects, attend parent meetings and activities, and volunteers her services as a bus driver after her paid shift.
